What occupied ourattention recently, I can tell you one thing: setting up a home studio is veryinteresting. My grandparents were fascinated with the microphone that Ibrought home and I think that for a brief moment in time, they thought Ihave an andition to become a professional singer, so improvising with the studio and themaking. This episode has all helped us. You know, ease our minds little bit andease the concerns about the coronovirus pademic and the outbreak of thecronovirus and help threats are definitely unprecedented, somethingthat we haven't witnessed in our time and, of course we need to in thelanguage of the Internet, improvide adoptabe in overcome many people, especially business owners,already have tons of questions, tons of problems and they're already lookingforward to finding new solutions how to keep their businesses up and runningand how to recover. KRADRIG is dusiness development managerand bus designer in the ICD hub. He is the owner of a bridges and creationsbooty consulting and one of the initiators of the Brice Startup. If I have not tested ontrupreneurialwaters, I would have never been as resilient to new challenges, as I amnow, including the latest caused by Covid nineteen back in the mid two.Thousands when a startup was not even a word in Servio. One bottle at my deskcontinuously reminded me of what my ultimate goal was that bottle wasproduced by innocent drinks, a company that, from the very beginning,resonated entrepreneurship with me, it was led by founders, passion byconsumers, feedback and lots and lots of fun in between. On the other side, corporations inSerbia at the time were like well, oil machines. They were running on strictprocesses, procedures and rules very different from innocent drinks andsimilar companies. This is the way lots of corporations are functioning now aswell and don't get me wrong. Corporations have their good sights,but for me they slowly started wearing down my enthusiasm, motivation andspace for innovation and for my dream to survive. I mad one of the bestdecisions in my life to dive into entrepreneurship. I found it a startupcalled Bryce. Then I joined three very talentedpersons in a company called DX lab and from beginning of two thousand andtwenty I joined IC Thub to promote and work on corporate innovation empoweredby the professional shift. I feel not...

...that I am just resilient, but that Ihave something to share with others to make them adapt, innovate and overcomeoutliars in life and in business. The images of swans reclaiming variouswater surfaces in cities during the curfew is something that made peoplethink about how nature is going back to some more optimal tate. While humansare at home. I can tell you there is one scientistwho's very much into swans, but not the real ones, rather metaphorical ones,the surprising swans, black and Whiteswans. His name is nasty, NicholasTalab and he's famous for his theory of black swans as unprecedented eventsthat we could not have foreseen and that have profound impact on the way wefunction. Tallib himself claims that the outbreakof the crone of Iris pademic was not in fact, that black swone, the surprisingone, but rather something that we could have predicted and prepared for it. Somy first question is: How can businesses adopt and be ready to face thesechallenges that we can see coming in the future? In other words, what are these so called predictableevents wide swans for businesses and how can they prepare to be resilient tothe upcoming risks, with enormous amounts of data processedeach day globally and advanced analytics technologies available tomankind? Andsince you know that this podcast were all about fusing? My next question is:Do you think that this crisis can maybe accelerate a potential fusion betweenthe world of corporations and startups? So maybe we can see the world of socalled Corpal startups coming out of this crisis. It may surprise you but covid. Nineteen.A situation is more or less an everyday reality for the majority of startups,as they are used to running businesses in uncertain environments. Just likethis, one corporations, on the other hand, are very prone to predictability.An economic and market development in...

...the past fifteen to twenty years isforcing them to adapt an innovate, and that is the reason why they should lookup to startups. Unlike current corporation practices,which are heavily focused on product innovation, they should really investmore resources in innovating, their entire business models. Of course, among many questions thatcame together with the situation that we're in one of the questions thatconcerns most of the people is actually the treatment of the labor force. So Iwant to ask so far: What are the lessons learned, how to provide thedecent work and encourage human centered approach in this crisis? Well, it is still too early to speak ofsome definitive lessons learnt a huge pusitive for me as that a significantmajority of the companies realize that people are their most importantresource. The health and survival risks made a human centre epproach anecessity in order to endure the first way of crisis. However, the risk whichis next in line is the economic one, and the downterm projections differ,but the figures discussed at the moment are significant and they even go tominus twenty or minus twenty five percent, which will reflect in higherunemployment rates, and in order to overcome these effects, there is a needto establish so called new social settlement. I know it is a very broad term, but Ibelieve it should address and resolve issues such as economic inequality,strength and accessibility of our... systems. How much profit is enough profit, forexample, how much are our friendline workers paid, etc? And I don't have amagic wane for this, but a definite first action step would be to createefficient structures for an open social dialogue on these topics, and if thiscan happen, it will make a great start. At the beginning of the crisis, IC thubwanted to explore what companies in Servia already did to respond to newreality, as we believe in constant dialogue withcompanies and the power of data. We designed a research and disseminated itacross all sectors and in just a few days we were able to draw conclusionsas we got all the responses which helped us to grasp their strategies. While the feedthat gave us glimpses ofthe future business practices, it also showed us that companies should besensitive to multiple complexities, but mainly the consumers behaviors, and aware that they can only thrive ifthey just a changing. Consumers needs, regardless of a broader environment. We know that business always has beenand always is, result oriented, and although we are in this crisis for acouple weeks, I assume that businesses already thinkabout the results when it comes to facing the Cronoiris pademic. So how dowe measure the success rate in adapting in mitigating risks that emerge fromthe Cron of Orus pademic? How do we know and what are the indicatorswhether a company or startup has adjusted to the Coronairuspandemicrisks in our research? We asked the companieshow much they had to adapt their business on a scale of one to five andfifty two per cent of the company's respondend with five IED. Theiradaptation had a full extent. The...

...average answer here was four point. Two. On the other hand, the satisfactionwith the changes they made had an average mark of two point. Six and oneof the reasons for disatisfaction could be relatively weak results achievedsince the crisis outbreak and speaking about adaptation. The overallstrategies ranged from switching to remote work up to Onlyn communicationwith consumers and online sales. Some decided to decrease bright decreaseprices, however, that a very short term tacted tectic, which should be verylimited because it undermines profits and as such as unsustainable. Myconclusion is that adaptation is an ongoing process and will be oneveryday activity of companies for a longer period of time. If there's one of the outcomes offwhat's going on right now, it's simply this whole situationreminded us of how connected the world is and that wecannot be at this age and isolated island in the global economy, GlobalSociety. So I wanted to ask you what are some best case practices from theregion in facing this situation that could be maybe multiplied elsewhere. The reaction of the entire innovationecosystem in Servio was extremely quick and valuable. ...someone who is very much into usingdata for the public good, I am more than eager to find out what greatsolutions will come out of the initiative led by U Anddp, Servio andexploring how data can be used to fight covid nineteen. Well, then, I think that if anything,we dedicated this second episode of our podcast to adapting to the situationwith new knowledge, information and ideas so for our listeners. There'snothing else to do after this, then, to take concrete action and concrete steps.So how can we light up our listeners andmaybe give them some inspiration to go on on their quest to create maybe somenew solutions and make everybody ready to face thesewhite swans that are coming in our way? About a month ago, my son Costa turnedsix and, as a present, my friend former Mantian currant coufonder and BryceVina gleasurwitch gave him Sabina Radevas on the origin of species. It isbasically Charles Darwin for kits, and it should serve as a perfectteaching tool for kids and a constant reminder for us adults as well, that itis not the strongest that survive but the most adaptable, and how to do that. One of the ways is to dive intoadropreneurship. For sure there is one famous concept, leanstartup, which preaches very simple three steps to make your starup succeed and those are built measure learn for any of us to become more adaptable.I would tweak Hese these steps a bit...
